SETON OUTREACH
The
Seton Center Outreach Program of the Cathedral of St. Peter is a part of
the parish’s social concerns response. The Clothes Closet is maintained
to provide free clothing and household items to the needy.
Clients may receive referrals to local Food Pantries, and when available and
appropriate, vouchers for the local Supermarket (i.e. formula, diapers, etc.
which are not available in pantries).
When resources permit, assistance will be offered for purchase of medication,
rental obligations, and/or security deposits. Coordination with other local
outreach offices, St. Vincent DePaul Conference and community agencies may make
possible monies that alone the Seton Center would not have.
Seton Center Outreach makes regular visitations to parishioners in the local
hospitals, nursing and retirement homes. Seton Center Outreach makes regular
contact with parishioners who are homebound, especially providing reception of
the Eucharist.
